day nine..

Day 09 - A picture of my fridge, MTV Cribs style.

Well.. this is my fridge.. it's one of those 'half' fridges that blends into the kitchen cabinets. Bit messy, and jam packed with food for the five hungry people that live under this roof!

If I had complete control over what food was bought and kept in here, things would look very different, but my mum is the one who does the shopping. She does a fantastic job of it too, but obviously she buys for five and therefore there is plenty in the fridge that I don't eat.. whereas when I'm buying for myself it'll only be food I like.

Not sure how interesting this post is, as you can't see most of what's in there but oh well :) I'm days late anyway!!

There isn't really an explanation, other than I was in Burger King with my best friend, Mari and I found this (and the looks from staff and other customers) rather amusing!!

Right, prepare yourself for a bucket load of pictures and captions!!!

Day 05 is 'a day in the life of ' in pictures. So here goooes..

Mum woke me at 7.10am this morning, which is ten minutes later than usual.. woop!

The following picture was taken literally as soon as I woke up.

Attractive, no?

Above - What I wear on a normal home school morning. What's the point in dressing up to sit in my living room?

Below - My 'I'm not really awake' face sans makeup or product of any kind.

Above - Breakfast!!! Warm berries with crunchy cereal, pecans, and vanilla yoghurt. Yum! I usually read over breakfast, and my current book is The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers.

Below - School work.

Above - Break time, at 10.15am.. Banana & chocolate milkshake, orange and magazines!!

Below - Back to work after half an hour. I got 88 in a pretest thing.. test tomorrow!!

Above - Lunch at 12.30.. salad stuffed wrap and more reading!

Below - I usually get changed into something more.. attractive.. after lunch in preparation for whatever I've got on in the afternoon.

Below - Walkies!!! We're really blessed to have plenty of gorgeous places to walk our crazy boxers.

Above - Back to work for a couple of hours.

Below - Then onto blogging!

Above - I drink tea like my life depends on it.. always have one around 4pm.

Above - Popped over to work to take back these containers and pick up my wages..

After this I just spent some time on Facebook and Skype and now I'm off to bed!! Apologies for the stupidly long post, but I hope you got a taste of what a typical Tuesday is for me :)

a day ahead?

I forgot to do yesterday's post!!! Meh. So frustrated with myself as yesterday was a far more interesting day than today.. However it was also a fairly unconventional day, and there were large chunks of time that I wouldn't of been able to photograph. More about that another day.. I'm gonna do yesterday's post and today's post today, but because yesterday was 'a day in the life of' it won't be up until I've photographed my whole day :)

So day 06 is a picture of a hairstyle I would like to have.

I LOVE this hairstyle!! I found a picture of it in this month's Glamour magazine, and I literally could not stop staring at it! Scarlett looks fantastic!! The colour, texture, and cut.. oh my word I just adore it!! Unfortunately, I'm not sure my hair would look at all like this if I tried to get it styled the same way. And I love my hair as it is.. but still. If I was gonna change it? Maybe this would be what I'd change it to.

day four..

Day 04 is a picture of me from 2 years ago.. Soooo...

I promise I didn't always look this high.. This was taken after my Mum's birthday party (where I'd had nothing alcoholic to drink I might add) and I was having a blast! It's actually almost exactly two years old as my Mum's birthday was last week. Ahh 14! Seems like forever ago!!

Day 03.. A photo of my mobile phone.

My phone is a Samsung Tocco F480.. I bought her off a friend late last year when my old phone gave up the ghost. It's got a crack in the screen and plays up sometimes, but I'm rather fond of it.

my sanctuary

I was lucky enough, being in the middle of five kids, to get my own room when I was ten. It was the smallest bedroom, but I was SO excited about it!! Since then in each house we've moved to, my parents have made sure that even if it's tiny, I had my own room. Not an easy feat as we're not exactly loaded ;)

However, when my older brother moved out last year, I was given his bedroom. Which just happened to be the biggest bedroom! I have made it into my dream room, and I adore it . It's taken me quite a while to get it how I like it, but with a lot of help from my family I couldn't be happier with the way it has turned out!

Also just a side note.. I know how incredibly blessed I am to have a bedroom like this. And while it might look like it cost a lot to create.. not one piece of furniture in my bedroom was bought from a shop. I'll explain more under each picture..

So without further adieu.. Welcome to my bedroom!!!

That chest of drawers was sitting in absolute ruins in our garage, but my lovely Dad fixed it up and re-painted it for me! The chair used to be green, so me and my sister painted it white to match the rest of my room.

My desk was made by my Dad from an old bookshelf, a chest of drawers and a large sheet of wood. The chair was second-hand.

My Dad custom made those shelves to fit in that awkward space.. and I helped!

The bed used to be black, but we re-painted it (NOT EASY!!). And after having very little success finding an inexpensive but sturdy white wardrobe, my Dad made me this one from scratch. He even found pretty little doorknobs for me.

I am so blessed, and I hope non of you view this as bragging! I hope some the pics inspired your own creativity about saving money on furniture! If you want more detail about where I got other things in my room, feel free to ask in the comments. I have delighted in finding or making cute decorations for very little cash.
